Ectopic mineralisation of insulin injection sites
Authors
Abstract
Lipodystrophy of injection sites is a common complication of insulintreated diabetes often associated with difficulty in glycaemic control. We describe an unusual and previously unreported case of secondary mineralisation of a patient's injection sites which produced a boneāhard abnormality making subsequent injections there impossible.
