Mauriac syndrome in childhood diabetes
Authors
Abstract
Three diabetic children with Mauriac syndrome are described. There were major concerns about the home circumstances and compliance with treatment in all cases. Glycated haemoglobin levels had failed to reflect the severity of the metabolic disturbances in two children. Intensive management led to improved growth, less hepatomegaly and resolution of lipid abnormalities.
