Hypoglycaemia with septicaemia: A case report

Abstract
A 6 year old boy with Type 1 diabetes mellitus developed meningococcal septicaemia. The intravenous insulin infusion had to be discontinued for several hours because of hypoglycaemia which seemed unusual in the face of severe septicaemia and shock.
